Re: pictures of my project.. (trbob16a)
Nathan,
The components are looking good and especially the head!! Good to see you have everything coming together for you..
But there is only one thing I have to say "Don't drink and Boost" bad, bad, bad... ..

Re: pictures of my project.. (Jay-C)
thanks for the replies.. yes it is .82, and I'm a rare person that actually likes lag. Nothing better than a huge power increase all at once! Going big for 500plus to the wheels.
some other stuff I have:
hondata 4b
fjo wideband
rc 800cc injectors
Huge front mount that I'll post a picture of whenever brian comes over to take a picture.
Thanks for the replies!
this car is ALL GO, no show. Thats why fenders are scraped up and such. But at $300 for the car, I wasn't complaining..

Re: pictures of my project.. (Britney Spears)
Wow thanks for all the replies. Happy thanksgiving everyone!
The guy in the back mixing "martinis" is me, and it is just a triple shot of southern comfort getting chilled. I like shots and I like them straight.
Yes, it is a 60-1 with .82 A/R. The reason that I decided to go with the bigger is that I love top end power and don't really care for low end power. There is nothing that I hate more than a turbo car that dies off at higher rpm's. This particular head is setup to shift between 9000-9500 rpms, so while the turbo is drastically oversized up until about 6000rpms, the high rpm push a lot of cfm. Besides, 500whp is no small feat!
This block is actually a b16 so it is just over 1.7L. The fram filter is my way of saying "I don't care!" Filters are hardly EVER used to their capacity and I plan on changing mine every 1500miles or so. Bah. I'm not sure about the pistons either. The setup was supposed to be around 9:1 overall. The combustion chambers were opened up to match 84mm so that dropped the compression some. In the end I think it is anywhere from 8.8-9.5. Thats a big range and I'm not sure exactly where they sit, but to me it honestly doesn't matter. I can make big power anywhere from 8.5-10.5 and they are all good parts so I'm happy.
OK I have to go be the bartender for my family! Have a good turkey day!
ps: yes, you will see this car on the streets around DC. I plan on 12psi low, ~17psi high for the street. The car is stripped more or less, no interior, heat, blower, a/c, pretty much everything I don't need outside of a motor and shell. The rollcage inside will be the last thing you see as I pull away.
many thanks to brian*black99SI for helping me on this project. Even though I have to double check everything he does to make sure he doesn't put a coilover back on wihtout a shock, or the jam nuts on the back of my camber kit, or forget to tighten the top nut on my shock so that it beats itself silly on my hood, or.....

He tried to get RICEBOY but i think the DMV wouldnt let him b/c it is considered a racist term or what not and if he got TRBOB16 then his car wouldnt be much of a sleeper...so i guess ALL GO is not a bad option
