the car was red, then white, now ive painted it ford dark shadow grey, it was the first thing i have ever painted and i think i did a pritty damn good job i did all the body work my self and sprayed it my self

That looks like an EG front end. The 96+ radiator support is different.

Just want to say, sick choice on the color. Throw some black wheels on it and that thing is going to look great.

I know the procedure, but is it as hard as it sounds like? What kind of sander did you use and what kind of paint did you use also? I am going to use my sanding wheel on my drill and go over the car with maybe 400 something grit to get a nice surface, clean it up and spray it with maybe 3 coats of color and then 2 clears (maybe 1, I'm lazy).

Hope it's not as hard as I think it's gonna be (time wise at least).

wow i didnt think i would have such positive feedback,
well to start awnsering questions
the body work alone took me 6 months both the door panels are new
i have five coats of base coat and four coats clear i used the best ppg made
when it came to sanding i went over the whole car with 320 then wet sanded with 400 then finally wet sand with 600 the paint job is flawless it took me 12 hours to paint it and it was definatly a learning experience but the number one thing is be patient if your not youll screw it up and the paint alone cost 600.00 not to mention all the man hours...
ill be using the apex'i power fc for now but i dont know what the final engine managment will be ...

suspension will be a huge upgrade consisting of
endless front brake system i baught from koi (great guy )
competition engineering cromoly front arms, type r steering rack, king motor sports upper controll arms
in the rear
rear disk conversion with type r calipers brembo rotors endless pads

more pics

before the paint job

before clear coat

during clear coating

endless calipers

fuel cell and no back seat it will be replaced with aluminum

the roof my favorite

ill keep you all posted

u should really consider using stock GSR camshafts instead of CTR cams.
unless that is a type-o

keep us updated on the continued project.
