People using Power FCs?

the power fc isn't setup to use the 3bar map sensor...
so, how exactly are you doing this?
please elaborate
thanks

ah, ic....
that's what i did before...
i used a 2 bar map sensor and would always get a CEL whenever the MAP sensor voltage would dip below the lower limit of the power fc...
i thought apexi was going to come out with a software fix where you can swtich between using the stock map sensor and 3 bar map sensor...
guess they're behind on that....
thanks for the info thoguh...
i was hoping they had come out with a fix
heheheh

I ran 22 psi last year and plan to go higher with it this year. The problem with the check engine light is the voltage goes out of range. If you could somehow fabricate an electronis device to limit the voltage (some of like a electronic missing link) the check engine light will go away. The Power Fc is the ****. At our shop we have converted everyone to the Power FC from Hondata.
right, XS has to program your powerfc to use a map sensor other then one with stock values
you can run the odb-ii powerfc (mines from a civic type-r) in the 99/00 si you just have to rewire every one of the ecu pins from odb-iib to odb-ii.. its not that hard they pull out pretty easily

the power fc is 1350 with the controller. If you get it from Carboy, they sell the 1 bar power fc and the 3 bar for the same price, xs is more. It is hella easy to use, you can go to http://www.spipowerexcel.com and download the instruction manual in adobe. It's for the rx-7 but you can see how to tune and calibrate it. yes it can work in a 2000 civic si, and you have to do is by a harness for 99-00 odbII to an 96-98 odbII from like http://www.godspeed.com , for $250, and require no splicing.
last time i remember,
i don't remember seeing a 3bar or 1 bar choice in the power fc programming...
dee, i know about the 3 bar from apexi...
but not sure if the power fc's for the honda are setup to even recognize it...
what XS engineering does is move all the mapping down to compensate for the 3 bar map sensor.... that's why it limits out the lower end of the map sensor range...
not exactly what the power fc was supposed to do, but it works... i know because i used to do that using a 2 bar map sensor.... it was a bitch moving all of those numbers down....
anyways, i really want to find out how to use a legit 3 bar map sensor where the power fc reognizes it.... maybe something to do with the PIM voltage...
boosted factory cars have it too easy

yeahi just called xs and they told me that they can't get the 3 bar map sensor for hondas, to just use a 3 bar from like GM. They told me thatthey will just ship it out with a base boost map, just tell they what you are running, injectors, engine work, cams, and they will send you out one that "should" start your car. changing the air/fuel ratio or injector size isn't hard to do on it at all though.
