PM sent on the Carillo and Pauter pricing, awaiting word still on ETA for each though. They have the Eagles in stock right NOW BUT I have been told these are the incorrect length, dunno what Eagle did on the K20 rods but they are longer I do believe. WEIRD

The breaking I saw on the Forum were all on all out HI HP race track cars , and only them knows why did the breaking happend because only them knows what they put into their motors . Unless you broke a crower rod your self you can`t say anything bad about them , I am tired of people say crap about stuff that they didn`t use and they judge them by what they heard and what they saw happend on other people motors !!! Many Crowerd motors that went bad on this forum it wasn`t of a rod falure , many setups blew because of something else going bad and when they open up the motor they will take pictures of the stuff broken and tell us what happend and that`s when people like you start this crap about Crower Rods failed !!! of course they will go bad , 80% of the motor will be broken when it blows up including the rods and no matter what brand are they !!! They will break along with many other high quality parts ! so does every part that gets broken when an engine blows up is considerd a bad product to use in your motor !?
The only one thing that I read about Crower rods falure is from Earl , he said that when they were in their race car they had to change the wirst pin (Top End) bushes after 10 runs !
Again I am not trying to comapare Pauter rods with Crower or any other rods out there ! Pauter is one of the best rods out there and I give them huge respect
Good Luck for you to find a set
I didn`t had any luck

here is there website>

At Groden Racing Rods we have eliminated rod failure with space age strength aluminum that allows no temperature growth.
It is an awesome material that doesnt heat up under extreme conditions.
Used in many Nascar applications also secretly.

i have used them before, and i dont like them... now if first hand experience isnt good enough for u... then so be it... i cant make everybody happy

u wanna know my opinion on crower products?
-rods
i have a bent one at my shop and one that snapped in half rendering an entire motor garbage... not to mention the countless others i have seen/heard of
-cams
i have a crower cam in about 5 pieces... absolute junk in my opinion
-valvesprings
i have a bunch of broken ones
-retainers
-yup... got a bunch of broken ones as well...
i will never again put another crower product in any of my motors and will def. never reccommend them to anyone else... to many people... crowers will be fine... maybe i got a bad batch, i dont know the reasoning... nor do i care... i know there stuff fails and i use other stuff which does not... what i use now works... so i dont need to change it
ps... next time u question my validity... try to do so in a more grown up manner instead of attacking... try simply asking... it might work a little bit better..
oh yea... and the crower that snapped in half was in a motor making around 5xx-600 in a street car

I wasn`t attacking you , I was just giving my opinion about what you said , I have nothing against you ! we are all friends here that help each other . I am sorry if I sounded that I was attacking , please excuse me ! I am not english maybe that`s why I sounded like that
Before I bought mine I searched on the forum since where I live in Malta (Europe) there isn`t any much setups to look at since only one Crowerd motor I know off Localy ! And he is not running Hi HP , he is just running them in a 9500 Rpms 12.5 compression TypeR N/A engine ! he has no problems so far !
I know that there are people had problems with this rods and also I saw people running great setups at 600 WHP and greater and they are working fine on their setups that `s why I went with them !! Who knows maybe later down the road I will post pics of the mess that the crower made in my motor , Hopefully not
Again I am Sorry bigTom If I sounded that I was attacking you.
Pauter Rods are great rods !!! I think that when they be available I will buy a set and keep them just in case some thing happen with my crowers
Also now I am scared when I looked in Earls Topic that he started about Crower Rods !! My setup is going to see 500 WHP soon and I guess that`s when me is going to start to ask for trouble with these rods
Thanks
Marlon

fairly priced means...
For Whosales Accounts, they charge $700 for a set of 8. So they cost $350 for a set of 4.
Since they deal mostly with V8's, they will only sell in sets of 8 to dealers. I am sure to the regular customer, they will sell a set of 4. The rod sets of 4 retail for $800
They are seriously the best rods available. They are just not a big shop. It is just a father and son who make each rod by hand.
If you do research, you will find out that these rods are 30% stronger than any other rod on the market.
Here is a quote from their website:
Our patented rod-to-cap design makes our rods the strongest in the world. In fact, our rods are over 30 % stronger than any rod on the market! Composed of space age billet aluminum, our rods are road tested to stand up to tomorrow’s heat and pressure engine performance standards.
At Groden Racing Rods we have eliminated rod failure with space age strength aluminum that allows no temperature growth. Throughout our rigorous engineering, testing and re-testing phases, our rods have unsurpassed quality control and craftsmanship, and are guaranteed not to have any forging flaws or cause distortion to the bores.
Most people want to buy from a big company with a big name. I would rather call a small shop where the person who is actually making my rods answers the phone and is better suited to answer my questions than someone who was hired to just take down phone orders.
I have spoken with the people at Groden and they are very intelligent and knowledgeable.
Take a chance & test them. I know when my Civic HB is ready for rods, I know where to get them.

800 for 4, thats a big chance to take.
If they were a bit more fair in price I may but for my car build for 800 Id rather go with Pauter, or cunningham

you didnt read right.. Price is $700 wholesale for a set of 8. Not a set of 4
You can get a set of 4 from vendors for around $500 a set.
Which application do you need? I will get them for you and sell them to you if you are interested.
thanks,
Gabriel

If they are a small shop and in control, why would they force someone buying a 4 cylinder rod to take 8 of them? Wouldn't they just market them in groups of 4 like every other rod manufacturer that does rods for 4 bangers and V-8's? Does not make sense.
i was referring to the wholesale side of it. I am sure they sell sets of 4 to the end user. But as far as wholesale goes, thats how they work it or at least how they did 6 months ago when I called them to setup an account.
Give em a call. I am sure they will be more than happy to sell you a set of 4, I just dont know what price they would charge you.
Excellent rod though and for price and performance, they are #1 in my book.
They have been used in John Shepherd's 8.5 second talon for more than 2 years without failure. Hundreds of dyno runs & hundreds of 1/4 mile passes and putting down more than 1300+ horsepower.
Run what has been proven to work time & time again..
Check into them and do some research on them.. Excellent stuff!
