Default oversized valves?

ok guys been searchin but cant really get a good answer for this

my current build is a mini me

d16y7 block (stock) / d16 z6 head in a del sol with a garret t25

i recently ported the head and i am considering doing bigger sized valves. would this add noticeable power? also considering the springs with a bigger cam but at this point i really like the idea of bigger valves i like the drive ability of the stock cam.

Whats your power goals? Thats going to determine if or if not you need an aftermarket cam shaft.

my brother inlaw had one on his crx and he threw the S2 pros and guess what $$$ out the door...so you can try it but the set up was on a B series not sure about your D's
unless you pull your timming cause bigger cams, vavles will also push and lift higher they will meet

MORE INFO IF U NEED IT THIS IS FOR A (B)
http://www.b20vtec.com/forums/all-mo...pros-cons.html

FOR A (D)
.u kno u dont really have to do any massive port n polishing u kno...u could just clean up wat the manifacture gave u..as a matter of fact u dont even have to port the intake side.Just port the exhaust...Reason being the intake coming into the head isnt really as important bcuz the air coming into the head is being forced into the head by the turbo...getting air out is more important...the better the air flows out the faster turbo spools n more efficient the turbo is.....As far as the clearance issue goes...its better to do a clearance fit before starting the motor...

If your not looking for the very last HP the engine can make then forget about head porting & oversize valve. a stock head can make crazy HP in a FI application. Now if it was a NA engine, head porting and sometimes bigger valves will see good gains.

but if it was a NA engine with a head porting and bigger valves are you sure thats a good idea ?"VTEC motors dont react well to oversize valves. Like was said before, when you are using big N/A cams or even turbo cams, you will have a clearince problem. There is more of a risk, than a comfortable gain, when using OS valves"
