Default overheating?

On sat the upper radiator hose was cut by the clamp that holds the intake onto the turbo, so I replaced it and flushed the system ..now when the car is driven and @ idle the temp goes up,I raced all this weekend and am hoping I didn't bust the head gasket..I checked the dip stick and seems to be just the normal colored oil in there..I keep having to add water and coolant..how much coolant should it take to fill? Anyway easy way to check the headgasket w/o a compression tester?

I know I am losing coolant from somewhere but I can't find a leak anywhere..any help would be greatly apprciated..thanks!

Probably coolant being sucked out of block and thru the exhaust. Do you have white smoke/steam out the exhaust? Sounds like head gasket problem. Oil does not have to be bad for it to be a minor leak. You might try some K & W Block Seal and get lucky. Be sure to follow the directions completely on the can or results won't be so good.
