I dont think your straps are constrained properly, they should be seeing some stress under that loading.

The straps are carbon fiber. They are for more for the bling factor since the bracing is underneath.

The other factor is I designed this for 'bolt-ons'. Stock OEM's that have undergone defomation and sagging over time will definetely have more stress-risers.
