OT: There seems to be 2 different meanings of 'groupbuys' floating around.


1 - One with fixed price
2 - The more the people in the buy, the lower the price goes.

Mostly on HT I have seen only option #1. Shouldn't it always #2?
I see #2 on groupbuycenter a lot thou.

 

Some people do not like waiting or do not like the possibility of no buy at all w/ option #2, so we have option #1

 

I think its been because it most instances getting the minimum # has been a difficult task, let alone hitting some sort of second tier.

 

thats why we should only have groupbuys for things that are really high in demand
