Thanks man. The thing is it was really nice listening to the spool and up top had a good sound, but for everyday driving, just too loud . All i have now is a 30" glasspack resonator and that's it. It dumps right before the passenger side rear tire

Your to kind,
I didnt think open downpipe was to loud at all, definately quieter than open header when n/a

But then again i didnt really get on it too much on the streets, and at the track the helmet blocks a lot of it. But for subtle everyday driving, its not to loud.

NP. I had my car running on an open downpipe after I installed the turbo for about 2 weeks. My car was LOUD. Well, it was loud because the #3 and #4 plugwires were switched from when a friend of mines was checking my spark plugs. The car sounded like it was boiling water. BLOP BLOP BLOP . I know everyone in my neighborhood was happy when I finally got an exhaust on. It was nice though when I figured out the problem, the car sounded nice and smooth even though it had an open downpipe. It was open at the flexpipe, right underneath the center console, so you could feel the heat rising from underneath. I loved the sound of the turbo spooling up.

When I was driving open DP, my Civic sounded like a Camaro with Flows, esp. on start-up.

If I remember corectly that was made when he was running straight out the exhaust housing with no downpipe at all. Since then he has a downpipe that runs back and stops right under the cabin. Its really loud from outside the car and he said its even louder inside the car.

Ohh and thats almost a year old or so and he has fixed up that front a bit.

[Archived] ... back from the dead again!

i have been watching all the turbo videos i can find in my 'stash' of videos.. aswell as searching here for any turbo videos i can find, and this one i had downloaded from http://www.teamstealthonline.com, no idea whos car it is, or where it was taken, but it has to be one of my favorites, yeah, blah blah streetracing, whatever.. hes driving the car and not you guys.. just admire the sound of the car.. especially after the race is over and he drives past.. sound is great! and hes racing a cobra too.. so makes it a little more exciting

http://www.ffunction.com/videos/vid_gsr_cobra.wmv

right click and save, you might want to watch it more than once
