I bought a kinda halfassed homemade turbo kit from someone a few months ago. Haven't had time to put it on the car yet. The BOV that came with it seems like its open. Like if I was boosting it would have a leak. Will that close when I connect the vacuum line to it or is there something wrong with my bov?

 

that will close (should) when you hook up a vacuum line to it.

 

Would it work on an NA car? Could I disconnect one of my vacuum lines, connect it to the BOV to test it?

 

the only thing it will do on an na car is close when you push the gas and open when you let off
