Default ok boost junkies, need advice with adapters...

To the point, my ramhorn cracked and i purchased a blueridge ramhorn for a decent price. My 35r is t4 flanged and the manifold is t3. I've never used adapters before so those guys that have...which do you recommend?? i see theres 2 types, plate style ( with sunken bolts) and the sandwich type (why is angled better)??

I have a full race downpipe and don't want to cut anything so please consider that while expressing your comments

Thanks

The clocking/orientation desired would be the first thing to look at. If you are concerned by modification, then you should purchase the one that keeps the original clocking of the turbine housing. The "plate style" would offer minimal interferance as it is typically the thinnest design. Unless you can obtain exact measurements and angles, I suggest purchasing both and seeing which one will work better for you. You can always sell the unneeded one.

^ thanks man...the clocking / placement of the turbo is nearly identical as the previous as both manifold are ramhorns. plate Adapters seems more durable as its just one single piece in contrast to the sandwich type consisting of multiple plates welded together with poor design and air flow.

I just cut the t3 flange off and welded the t3-t4 adapter plate onto the mani. My turbo sits low, so just bolting the adapter on would have caused the turbo to sit even lower, creating oil return line issues. Something to consider since you don't want to hack up your downpipe.
