Default Oil return line with a pump???

Alright Im getting a little worried about how low my oil return line is and if it will get enough flow so I was thinking of doing this.....

Getting a carburated fuel pump (to pump the oil) and running the oil line to that(below the turbo ) Then pumping the oil up to a catch can which will then return it back to the pan.

Does anybody have any other suggestion or any ideas what pump would be good to pump the oil into the catch can?

Thanks for the help.

also my line is almost straight right now, I havn't ran the car yet. I am using a custom manifold from lovefab and a GT37 turbo.

You dont want to pump oil into the catch can. The point of a catch can is to filter oil vapor, not liquid.

explain how the drain line would be run without the pump. How far is the turbo outlet from the drain. 3 inches, 6, 8, or what. If you pick up a couple 45 degree fittings it should be fine.

just reread the post, you mean the the turbo outlet, and the oil fitting in the pan look like this:

turbo ---- oil pan
outlet ---- inlet

------------------------------------------------------------ground

or like this

turbo outlet

oil pan inlet

-----------------------------------------------ground

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by FwdCivicHatch &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">just reread the post, you mean the the turbo outlet, and the oil fitting in the pan look like this:

This is how it looks right now.

The reason I would pump it to a catch can is I need some sort of resevoir that can release the preasure that the pump might cause then return the oil to the pan using gravity......so why wouldn't a vented catch can work for that situation?
