Default oil presure guage problem

i have a defi oil pressure guage and I can't figure out whats wrong with it. I dont get any oil pressure lights at all and everything runs normal. But my oil pressure doesnt go past about 55-58psi when at WOT up in the rpms. And at idle its either zero or bounces from 0-5psi. I have everything set up right I just cant figure it out.

BTW the car is a turbo GSR

have youchecked the oil pump and the pickup? Also, where are you pulling your reference for oil pressure?

try to get ahold of a guage that you know works, and compare them, if the readings are still of, then i would check the oil pump and pickup

I had the same problem. I had a -3an to a tee to my oil pressure gauge sender, stock sender, and oil feed line and had the same readings as you. I upgraded the line to the tee with a -4an and left the -3an to the turbo and the oil pressure is rock solid now, 15-20 at idle and 70-80 at full pressure by 4k rpms.

Definitely go buy a cheap mechanical oil pressure guage from Autozone or Oreilly's and hook it up to compare the oil pressure readings.
