Hey, i was wondering what kind of oil pressure i should have. I have a GReddy oil pressure gauge. It measures in "bar". I just need to know how pressure there must be. Also the other question is should i use a Fram Double Gaurd Oil Filter? Or use a OEM Honda/Acura oil filter? And I use 15w-50 Mobil1. My set up is in my sig.

with 15w50 your gonna have to change the oil more often.

i just use mobil 1 5 or 10w30

change it every 2k miles

 

Maybe the question sounds stupid. I was wondering if anyone would know these facts right off the top. Umm, should i not be using 15w-50?

 

10w30 is good for that wheather, and i change mine every 1k miles.

 

OK, i was under the impression that i should use that type of oil, for the turbo's sake. Does anyone know the answer to the oil pressure question? I hate asking questions that might make me look like a mild retard! Oh well, thanks for the replies.

you should use thicker oil for more protectoin, like synthetic.. i use 5w40 during winter, 15w50 or 20w50 during summer, and mixes of 5w40 with 15w50 or 20w50 right now and during spring.. at cold start it shoud go about 5 kg/cm2 (greddy doesn't measure in bar) and at no time it should go above 6 kg/cm2.. i don't remember what helms says, but all i remember is my oil pressure is near 5kg/cm2 when at 4krpm cruising, i'd have to check and come back to this thread..
