is it really necessary to use teflon tape with the oil line threading?

i'm almost done with my custom install and was just asked by a buddy if i used teflon tape for the oil feed...and i realized to my dismay that i neglected to use it...

will i be alright? everything is nice and tight...or should i remove everything and redo with teflon?

btw...i ordered my oil line kit from flamenco-t

 

ya guys thing i'll be fine if i use some high-temp silicone?
