oil filter adapter question
does anyone know how much clearance there is behind the oil filter? I think of adding a oil filter sandwitch adapter between the filter and the block, but don't know if there would be enough room left for the filter. the adapter would be like 40mm thick.
if there wouldn't be enough space for the stock filter, maybe a smaller filter would fit in? does anyone know a part number or something of such a smaller filter?
thanks

Re: oil filter adapter question
hey, thanks to both of you
I'm going to buy an european brand adapter, since it's where I live. the company is called Racimex and it has a good reputation here in europe:

does anyone know how thick the Golden Eagle adapter is? maybe mine will be thicker because it has a built in thermostat. I hope 40mm won't be too much.
anyway, I'll go for it and order it after this weekend... fingers crossed!

Re: oil filter adapter question (Roky)
I think mine made it easier to get the oil filter off. You no longer have to reach foreward to grip the filter. The one I have is a D16 w/ greddy plate (25-30mm thick). I guess the oil cooler on the B series might push it back more, not sure.
