ok my oil line broke it sounds like a loud rattle in the head.what would it be the car runs good and no noise when at idle.thanks

when you rev it up it sounds like a loud rattling in the head.at idle it sounds find no noise at all.

 

if you rev it up to 1500 its loudest.

 

Did you run low on oil? How long did you drive it after you found out the line broke?

I would drain the oil and see if you spun any bearings first and foremost. You can always pop the valve cover off to make sure nothing snapped in the valve train.

 

valve train looks ok dont see any thing i guess i will have to take the oil pan off.i was drivin and it started making a noise just mins from the house i drove for like 5 mins.

 

Hopefully it's not your bearings. So, how low on oil were you?

 

it didn t have much in it alittle.

fix the line put 2 liters in it so it had a liter

It kind of sounds like rod knock.

 

bearings could be toast. loss of oil pressure = bad.

 

its not a knock its a rattling sound i heard knocks when my brothers bearings whet does sound like that.

 

the bearings might not be spun yet, but they could be damaged. bad bearings can sound like a ticking/tapping/rattling.

not to say it is definately bearings, but it's a possibility.

 

it was the bearings this sucks i just put the motor back together.
