Well...I dialed in some boost and went driving again. I think I am at about 7psi.
And I am happy to say I know what an open wastegate sounds like now!

Damn, my car SCREAMS!! I still have a perma-smile. I really am supriesed with the power it has now. I still didn't push it to its full potential, but I am happy as is. I took it to 7k once in first and the tires began to break lose, then I shifted into second....took second to 7k and shifted. It seems I hit 80 like nothing.

I really can't even describe how it feels. While I have drove in some fast cars, I think I can probably say mine is the fastest I remember feeling. Now, I may take it out for one more ride tonight with my friend so he can keep an eye on my guages......

Just thought I would throw this post out for all the people scared about turboing their car. It is hard, but it is worth it!

7 psi is good for a little bit. You will get bit by the boost bug soon, and you will want to boost more. Boost is so beautiful, yet very addictive. Enjoy!

I turned it down to 6psi and gave a couple friends rides......they had some smiles almost as big as mine.

i guess i have a few weeks to stock up on extra parts and accessories.

u did the install urself? how did it go overall?

 

damn all i do all day is sit on my comp reading aboout people who turbo thier cars and what they had to do to tubro it. Makes me woozie thinkin about how fast my cars gonna be once the moolah comes in....... uggggggh/drool i want boost!

Hearing **** like this makes me so jealous because I've been sitting here now since the beginning of May with everything already purchased for my turbo setup, yet I have to wait and wait for the shop to install it. Grrr!

Congrats though HXMan on finishing it. I definetly look forward to racing you someday soon.

Yea, I did it myself, and it wasn't too hard. Just be ready to spend some money on things you didn't think you would need. And be prepared for it to take AWHILE.

Totally...I got ripped off for my injectors and TURBO!!! but, I've recovered most of the money from the CC company and I should be boostin in a couple weeks...I started jumpin up and down at work, today (when no one was looking) just thinking about boosting! heh

Heheheh. No tuning. I am going to leave 2 or 3am wensday morning for payn tech. Hopefully I don't get lost. I did buy a few maps though.

Oh, I am trailering my car there. I am still leaking oil so I don't think a 8 hour drive would be a good thing to undertake.
