OE Style Engine Rebuild Kits
Hey guys, I'm on a tight budget to get my motor rebuilt. Its a B18B1 that runs descent, but I am planning on boosting. I'm not looking for more than 300hp for the car is a daily driver, and I wanted to keep it simple and reliable.
I've seen the OE style complete rebuild kits that are offered from different companies. They come with everything I need (pistons with oe c/r included) save the conn-rods. Do you guys think they would withstand the rigors of a low-boosted motor? Prob not more than 8psi.
I'm not sure I want to invest in race components, which is alot more money, for a car that isn't being raced at all. It'll never see race gas, only tuned on 91oct. If I have to spend the extra and get the performance parts I will. But, if I don't have to then I won't.
Thx in advance.

No, I wouldn't buy something like this off ebay. 2 local parts stores have priced them out for me and there is one online store that sells them. They use good components like Gatorback, ACL, and a couple of others. My main concern is will they handle the rigors of boosting...
