Thats not a bad product. Its not like an intake manifold has a high stress life like an exhaust manifold so I couldn't see there being any problems with durability. Sure you can compare it to the other really expensive manifolds and they'll outperform it. But for $175... I think it'll give $175 worth of more power.

I would never buy one of their turbo manifolds or anything from SSautoshit but I think I would consider this manifold

I dont like to post in these OBX threads but ...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The equal length design of the manifold will help increase turbo spool while still providing enormous power and torque gains. Capable of flowing about 240 CFM @ each runner.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I would like to see where they came up with 240CFM hmmm ...

yeah its cool tho, becuase these are so much less $$ and yet they are such high quality i think everyone on h-t should sell whatever they have now and use the obx stuff. even IF they copy text directly from our website.

&lt;/sarcasm&gt;

you guys dont know what to look for when telling whether or not a product is garbage. this is quite apparent by half the posts on f-i.

Do you guys realize that this actually hurts our industry? Its easy to rip something off, the hard part is innovating. Keep ripping off the innovators, and soon there will be only rip offs and nothing new.

i know it sucks, but wherever there are units that are easy to replicate, there will be people copying it.
i can get fokleys, fake gucci watches, and all kinds of other stuff all day long that looks like the real deal.

just gotta sell what u got and keep pluggin along

BTW everyone on HT knows ur product is superior than these copy cat ones.

This among other reasons is why your company will be around and respected three years from now

When I'm in the market for a manifold or whatever - I can't see myself giving my money to OBX.

Is no one else just extremely angry at this type of ****? I know it happens elsewhere; I've seen it in other markets - but it pisses me the hell off there too...

Either way - I believe in Full-Race's products, and buying from them will insure peace of mind... I hope the originators of these products aren't driven out of business...

Edit: I'm assuming it's unrealistic to patent designs or in some way prevent flagrant reproduction...?

Forgot to mention their products actually have some R&D going into them.

i dont like hater "its not expensive so it must be crap" bandwagons either man,
but you do need to be wary with this type of stuff.

that turbo exhaust manifold you were talking about is the same as the SSautochrome manifold, and it will(and has for many people already) crack to **** due to its weak construction.

so unless you want to have fun rewelding half adozen cracks that show up on your manifold, steer the **** clear.

the IM on the other hand doesnt have to support a turbo.. so I would be less wary of it, however I still wouldnt just jump right in.

Yeah, poor Kooks. Gladly, their turbo manifold design is still the best, since it isn't a hugeass heatsink.
