post them up, i was looking at these, but i figured they didnt have a radius when entering the runners. And the chrome is a little too flashy, powder coating would be needed

No way. A company can't just turn itself around like that. They aren't going to change all of their production plants and manufacturing processes overnight.
Besides, the bigger issue is the fact that the people who work at OBX are sheisters. Someone should file a class-action suit against them because their "warranty" is nothing but false claims.

their products are so cheap because they just copy peoples stuff, yes some of their products are/were bad, but some of them are very nice, like their cam gears, and pulleys, they are the same design as AEM and unorthodox products. I'm not saying they are some great company now, just that they have come a long way from what was going on before
Thats business. I'm pretty sure they're trying to start to make more better quality things. See, they make cheap things, in order to maximize profit. But if they see that everyone's downing their ****, they might change up a little.
I honestly think they're reputation is too poor for them to make a complete turn around. I'd buy their pulleys, and maybe cam gears. But thats pretty much the limit.

They're solely competing on price to win some market share. Even with their warranty system, how many people do you think actually return their stuff after having it break once on them, just to wait around for the turn around time. Not many. So their cost of having a lifetime warranty is greatly outweighed by their sheer sales in volume of these outsourced produced goods = cheap labor +cheap materials.
They will change their manufacturing system only when they start seeing their profits shrink.

The problem is that they are committing criminal acts to perpetuate sales. If I could afford a lawyer, I would sue them right now.
My OBX header came broken in the mail and they gave me the run-around for six months before I gave up. I never recieved a refund. They have no warranty whatsoever and now I'm stuck with a useless piece of $200 scrap metal.

well if it broke in the mail, thats the carriers fault not theirs... but just to reiterate i am not swinging from obx's nuts here or anything, i'm just saying some of there stuff is good, some if it is bad, i wouldnt buy obx pistons or rods, but as i stated before i would get more simple things like cams and pulleys they are less than half the price and perform the exact same.
It didn't break in the mail. And it doesn't matter anyway, OBX showed no interest whatsoever in honoring their warranty.
And don't trust their simple copies either, they can be bad too. I had an OBX fuel rail that broke. And it doesn't get much simpler than a fuel rail.

dont do it!!
On a customer's car the cam gear self destructed at the teeth, and then trashed the timing belt becuase it is made out of such CRAP material, the timing belt teeth actually wore away at the cam gear which eventually trashed the belt

as soon as it showed up relized it was pretty tricky to put the iac from an h series on it.

Yea, I was in your shoes before. I made a post saying "is this any good, i think im gonna try it." It is truly a waist of money. Right out of the box, i was looking at a highly reflective peice of ****. The mounting surface is not flush at all. It is made out of some sort of cheep matal full of tiny crevaces. I dont even think that RTV would bail you out of that. It needed to be resurfaced. Throttle cable brackets are not included, but thats the least of your problems. Only half of the sensors bolt up, holes need to be re-tepped (especially the throttle body), and it looks like *** when it's in because it exposes too much of the firewall, which also makes it hard to access your rear alternator bolt and oil supply. IMO, get a blox... For the money, theyre great. You wont even notice the difference. If you have the money, get a edlebrock or venom, but FGS(abreviation... figure it out), look past obx/ autochrome, at least for any kind of manifolds. good luck

That's how ALL OBX parts are. You have to do the same with their headers - pay $30-40 to have a machine shop mill it.

I owned their Racing seats. All i have to say about the seat is nothing but good. Easy to clean, stays clean. Never tore, ripped, broke anypart. Though that is just one part out of the list of things they make. So i know their bad rep.

Oh, by now means am i arguing that all of their product are bad quality. I am using a set of OBX cam gears. They are a year old, and respond very well to re-adjusting. Not one spec of rust, and all five bolts are mints. But there are somethings that really cant be screwed up. It;s the quality of the material they use, which is vital for the manifolds.
You know, it's to the point where I wouldn't care if I had nothing but good experiences with OBX. If I had bought ten OBX products and found them all to be of exceptional quality, I'd still warn everyone to never buy from OBX, ever.
What good is one person with good experiences when everyone else is gettting screwed over? I'm not going to say "I have no problems with them" and risk having someone else buy their crap and get screwed over.
OBX doesn't have consistency - that's why you should never buy from them. Just because someone else lucked out doesn't mean that you will as well.

yestarday i t was the first time that i seen a ssautocrap mani in preson. man, it looks like ****, first off the manifold was brand new but it looks used
, second, some of the welds dont have any penetration at all and some has too much causing the heat to eat the flanges. also the collector wasn't symmetrical even they grinded the hell out of it.
also the chrome plating looks like ****.
