ok, so I have my stuff...im up now marking each wire as to where it is supposed to go(slow as ****!!). BUT....WHY on earth does the harness i have NOT have the very first connection that is supposed to be done(from the list for harness B ) A20=RED WIRE... EVAP Purge Solenoid ???????????? wtf..
there is nothing there in the harness... (its from an obd1 B18C1) there are 2 red wires on the A connector....at least there is supposed to be(#3 and # 20...and the first has its marked place) but i have no A20.... ?????
ahhhhhh!!!!!
if it isnt there and it supposed to be....then im lost....will I need to add a wire????

You may have to add/delete wires depending on what car the plugs came from.

dont stress out now your just starting. you can get the obd1 plugs from just about any make honda/acura. the place might have said it was from a gsr but mb its not. if your missing a wire add one if you have an extra wire remove it. best thing to do is remove all the wires, then plug them in the obd1 plugs as needed. color code does not matter.

good luck sirkid

ive already burnt my fingers enough times!

i know colour code doesnt matter.but it helped me make sure i had the right one...
well see how things go. thanks for the support!

argh....what i pain in the ***! its hard to solder in such tight quarters when you suck at it ... i finished it but i have no idea if it works...ive checked mostly everything and it seems fine....but i could have the pins wrong for the obd2 side...i just counted them like obd1....starting at the upper part..count down..then over to the right/top .continuing..is this right for obd2??????
the ecu i have has been modified for hondata.....if i wanted to see if the harness worked would it work if i hooked up the ecu???? or not?(i have no boost nor the injectors that the base map has been done for.but isnt that stuff in the blue box???)
im guessing the ecu..... has to work with the hondata in order to work.meaning my car wouldnt start anyways.even if the harness is right!

obd1 you count up and down with obd2 you count left to right(looking at the back of the plug)

you have to run a obd2.2 ecu thats all. the harness is different. its a 1 peice and not a 2 peice thats all.

am I the village idiot or what?!!!
Ive doen this thing twice(Well first doesnt count.i counted wrong...and was halfway through when I relized this)
but now.i wired it all up..ive checked it all..and the damn thing wont work.. My fuel PUMP does NOT turn on.i checked that area of the harness and everything seems great! when i first turned the key to 2nd aux.. the hondata was flashing....uh oh... i turned it all off...i tried again and the hondat light comes on for a sec , then goes off... i also have a vary faint check engine light.... F*ck..this harness is a pain...(dunno if its worth the savings anymore)..
i unplugged everything and hooked my regular ecu back up.works fine... so its this damn harness..and or ive fried everything ...if thats the case.im a f*cking tool who shouldnt go near anything related to electronics or cars and im selling my car. f*ck
and no im not blamming hondata at all.... its me....stupid moron with a soldering iron stuck up my ***!

dont stress out. just recount and go over everything again. you will find the mistakes. just set it aside for a day or two then come back to it and find the problems. dont worry hondata should be fine. take your time sirkid

i do make the harnesses and i want to say that the obd2(99-00 civic and 00-01 integra) to obd1 chart is wrong. you can not run a 00-01 integra on a harness made for a 99-00 civic. the fuel pump wire is not in the same location. the reason its not in the same location is due to the emobilization chip in the ecu and the key. the fuel wire is a16 on the 99-00 civic and the emob wire for the 00-01 integra is a16. best of luck.

ps also wanted to say that u dont have to use a 1k ohm resistor from the +12v to the icm. you can just connect the tach wire to the icm and your done.

[Modified by b16aeg6, 12:10 AM 6/18/2002]

You are right. I wire A15 and A16 together to make the same harness work for both Teg's and Si's. It's something I forgot to put it on the chart. I have had problems not using a resistor, but if you dont', then that's nifty.
WTF?? on harness B there is no 15 and 16...just A16
im making my harness for an 01 ITR... do I NEED to do anything on the adapter harness(b) or is it on THE CARS harness i need to combine wires?

I have to hand it to you man. You are very inspiring to people who want to try this. It really doenst matter on the combining of 15 and 16. I make them combined on the harness side so no one has to change anything on their cars harness.

why thank you
what about strictly for a 01 ITR.. what would I have to add or change on the harness B to make it work?
thanks

if the harness your making is for a 01 integra type r the wire a16(flr) on the harness your making, has to be moved to a15. this wire is the fuel pump wire. you can either move it on your cars harness or the harness your making.(your choice) gl sirkid, hope this helps.

WOOOO HOOOO!!!!! it works..finally. damn it. i wasnt sure on which way to count on the obd2 side...thats what fudged me up..next time..make sure i know everything... i plugged in the hondata and the light stayed on!!!! yeah!
the car ran like **** cause i dont have the 450's in nor am i boosted but i wanted it to work..(i just let it idle with the hondata hooked up!).luckily i had a friends chipped p72(xs engineering/raised rev limit.lower vtec etc)(damn.i have 2 of them in my hand now.im rich ) and hooked it up took the car out for a spin... works like a charm! damn it im soo happy...i took it easy for a while then decided to open it up to see if vtec would work..yuppers! it did! took it a little past stock redline a few times( stock=8200.i took it too about 8500...STOCK B16 btw) didnt want to go to 8700 rev limit.. was already scared taking it to 8500.... THANKS SOO MUCH TO EVERYONE who helped me out on ths little project(well it was supposed to be but it turned out to be big)
like i said.i wired the fuel pump to a15 and 16...so it works on my 99/00 SI and it should work on my friends 01 ITR...will his imobilizer still work????
thanks again!!
Jon
