Default obd0 Hondata question

ok i want to get hondata boost setup for my sohc turbo project in a 91 hatch. i know i have to convert to obd1, here is my question
what ecu, distributor do i need? i know where to get the obd0-1 harness so thats not a problem, im doing a d16a6 so there wont be any Vtec involved. and i do have a 94 CX ecu and distributor laying around will they work?

thanks and merry christmas

You don't have to convert to OBD1. You can use the Stage 2 or 3 with OBD0. The s100 and s200 systems only work with OBD1.

You can use an OBD-0 ECU from a vtec car (JDM integra xsi or crx siR) and hondata 3b it. OBD-0 works with boost, but not datalogging. Just because the ECU supports vtec doesn't mean you have to use that feature. I'm sure you can get the PR3 or PW0 to work fine with your sohc non-vtec motor.

If you want to convert your car to OBD-1 for hondata, you might be able to use a non-vtec ECU from a DX or something. Hondata's website should have information on this. You might want to check there or call them.

You can use a PW0 or PR3 for ALL your needs. Datalogging, 3 bar map sensor ect.

You just a have to use the 'older' version of their software. Not a big deal.
All the features you need to tune the car properly are there.

I tuned a PW0 on a '89 JDM B16A turbo to 333 whp. Piece of cake.

Hondata's website lists what ECU's they work with.

you can datalog sensors with an obd-0 ecu but not the o2 sensor specifically. at least thats what I and a few others with obd-0 hondata setups found

it means there is a ground loop problem somewhere in the factory wiring that causes the ecu to get false readings from a wideband. subsequently making it very difficult to log a/f ratios v. thier position on the fuel map.

I got fed up trying to figure out a way around it but decided to use the aem ems instead. it has a gain function that allows you to manipulate what the ems reads as the actual voltage coming from the wideband. true and I think it was slowteg had the same problem as I did and I don't know if they have figured it out.
