Default OBD-0 to OBD-1 conversion help!!!!!!!!

Just finished up doing the wiring on my 89DX. Did everything the instructions say's to do but seem's like the car has a short somewhere? Car ran fine before I did this stuff. Now it does not even cranck on it's own? Will Dizzy wiring cause the car not to start? Also Im still running OBD-0 injectors and resistor box. Any help will be apreciated!!!!!!!!

Incorrect Dizzy wiring will cause the car to no start, but it will not cause it to not crank...

There is one wire going from the ignition to the starter that cause it to engage, as long as the starter is getting 12 v on that wire (which would have nothing to do with your OBD0 to OBD1 conversion) you should be good...or maybe your starter is fried now

Actually i've had my distributor wiring cause my car to not start. There is some kind of shielding in there i think, and i spliced all the wires, and then taped them all back up, like they were from the factory. Anyways, it must have caused a short, cuase the car woudn't crank or anything. I just untaped them and its been fine ever since, not my daily driver so never cared. I've also had problems with my starter wire, not having the cover on the bolt where the cable connects, causing a short there.

I it don't crank then check ur main ground to the tranny. Unless u didn't even touch the ground then its probably the signal wire on the starter color black w/ yellow stripe. Check that first. Then make sure ur fuses are cool. Even if it was the distributor the car would still crank but won't start.

Not all pre-obd (OBD0) to OBD1 conversion harnesses are wired such that you can just match colors like that. Post who you bought the harness from and also post in the EF forum. There are millions of threads like this in there.

I bought conversion harness on Ebay, its a Avid piece and I think that I wired everything right. Also did this by accident, I connected the battery ground to the batterypositive but never hooked the power up because I caught my mistake. Will check the grounds

Wiring done but im not getting spark, the only thing that I think it is that i might have crossed the Blue green/Blue yellow wire's backwards. Will this cause the dizzy not to spark? I tried switching them over but still wont spark!!!!!!!

Pull out a plug, put it into a plug wire, and ground it on the chassis. Have a friend crank it for a second and see if you got any spark. Also, check to make sure you put your plug wires back on the dizzy properly too.
