Default NSX dyno'd at Autowave!!

I finally got a chance to dyno my NSX w/ the following mods:

1992 NSX stock internals
CTech SC "hi boost" kit/CTech headers/exhaust/CF intake
RC 550 injectors/AEM FPR/Walbro 255 HP fuel pump/AEM MAP sensor
AEM ECU

377 rwhp
268 ft/lb torque

Guys at Autowave in Huntington Beach did an excellent job!!

I''ll post dyno sheets when I get "privileges" to post..thanks!

What do you guys think?

Jeff

Nice numbers, what's different in the "hi-boost" version?

Yeah, AutoWave is a great shop. I was there for EFI-101 and it's super clean, organized and the setup is excellent. They're Honda/Acura specialists but a bit more than Civics and Integras....S2000s and NSXs everywhere...that's even where the S2000 powered Sand Rail was dyno'd.

Autowave!? Huntington Beach? I'm only about 30 min away. I need some great tuners for my car. You have their address or number?

i think those numbers are horrible and i would be dissappointed. not necessarily compared ot other nsx' out there but just in general. a "high boost" blown nsx with upgraded fueling, and tuned only makes 370whp? yuk.

Lots of company thorw names in to make their product seem greater then it is.

Jacksonracings HIGHBOOST kit = 10-11 psi. oooo just somethign to take into consideration

Nice car, nice numbers, bet its fun to drive

Awesome numbers!! I really like the way the Comptech feels even on a stock car. what are you revving the engine to?

With a RWD car and 377whp you should be able to get some pretty good times. **** the VW guy, he ran a 14.2 haha. Any pictures of your car? How much did everything cost?

i kinda have to agree with the numbers. not good. comeon my turbo LS made 280whp on stock internals. I wish I had an NSX though.

Bear in mind guys, it's only running 9 psi, and the positive displacement compressor means foolish amounts of torque down low.

Very good numbers, that thing must be a blast to drive . . . . Screw-type superchargers rock.

Youre comparing a turbo car to a supercharged car. The numbers he is getting is very nice, most stock NSXs make about 240-265whp stock, depending on the year. the 6psi comptech kit makes about 325-355whp. Most of the time the Hi boost kit only bumps it up 1-2 psi.. Id say he did very well. Keep in mind also that teh engine retails for $30,000 from Honda. If you can find one in the junk yard you might be able to buy it for 10k for the swap. I would much rather swap a $500 LS motor every day than buy an NSX motor once.

nsx's never are impressive to me on the dyno for some reason... their numbers always seem funky.

btw I have seen a stock setup with nothing but exhaust and comptech super at 6.5 psi make 345whp and 258 ft lbs of torque. wish I had the dyno chart online though.

maybe they were a bit conservative on the tuning, but I would think you could manage 400+ whp out of 9-9.5 psi... least thats what most nsx guru's say to me.

none the less...

If any of you actually had the chance to drive an nsx, u would be more impressed with the #s he made...I got the chance to drive a busted *** 91 nsx automatic with almost 100k miles, and I was very impressed with the car...I really could only imagine 377whp in one...

Great numbers!

I have had experience with one personally... I was more the less saying the dyno does not do them justice really.

given the cars weight, gearing, power, and design... the nsx is a great all around performer... no doubt. given the cost of a one though, people expect more from it than what it has.
