Not your typical Eagle Rod post.
Well, today in my Engineering Graphics class, we got the outline for our final project. It's actually a very simple project, basically all we have to do is take something, anything, and improve its design. Most people decided to do something like a toy balsa wood airplane, or something dull like that. In reality, the design isn't as important as the demonstrated ability to use both AutoCad and Inventor. I decided to try and improve the design of an Eagle connecting rod. With all the talk about what makes them "bad" rods, or what makes other rods better recently, I decided why not take a stab at it.
My question is this, I would like to know if anyone out there has an Eagle rod I could barrow until the end of my semester? I don't care what application it's for, and I don't care what shape it's in, all I need it for is demonstration purposes, and I also want to spec it so I can build an accurate model in both AutoCad, and Inventor. If there is anyone out there that would help me out, I could pay shipping without a problem. I would really appreciate any help.
Also, any input on your experiences with Eagle and have they been good or bad? If bad, what went wrong. Thanks tons for the input in advance. Beers on me!
This is also posted in the all motor forum for a lil more input.

I think Turbo Sam may have one. SPeed Phreak does, but it's hanging on his wall, he likes it too much.

Correct, there isn't anything wrong with the rod itself, but the design of an Eagle rod includes the rod bolts and such so. . . . . This project has nothing to do with actually improving the design, it's more about my ability to use the AutoDesk software. I just decided to use the Eagle rods. Keep the input commin.

BTW, Eagle had some titanium rods on display at the IAS show last week. Very light. Did not get pricing on it

I'm still looking for a rod for display for my class. If anyone out there has an Eagle, busted or not, let me know please. If I do barrow one from someone, It'll be returned promptly in brand new condition. Thanks.

If there's demand for it, I'm sure they'd be happy to make them.
