Will it work? Yes.
Will it be equal to a turbo or real supercharger? Not even close.
Could you better spend the money? Definately.

20psi inless then a second!
it's not a turbo, but u'll be in front 1st, add it to a turbo setup some how and that would be sweet. its a bottle of nitrous that never needs to be refilled.

At not nearly enough flow, that 20 psi drops to nothing as soon as you open the throttle.
OEM electric superchargers are used to give 15% increases in 1000-3000 rpm band on sub-2.0 engines... meant to help with beefing up the low end of laggy small displacement turbo engines in heavy **** modern crash safe vehicles.

Re: (mekkis)
How do you know it has no flow? it is a real roots blower with three electric motors on it. There is no reason it cannot work great. The only reason its recomended for small engines is it is a small blower. Just like the eaton m45 that JR uses won't flow like the M112 on the Lightning.

Re: (beepy)
so after reading more info on it. it exactly like Nos w/o refill. needs to be recharged after each interval of use. seems like a neat idea. still a bit over priced..but it will work. people have their preferences...and most people here like myself chose turbo. either way....fast car = cool ....no matter how u do it. keep the peace in here people. on me

don't forget the batteries, probably a couple hundred per battery for the mil spec stuff. and it says four batteries, jeez thats going to wind up more expensive than a pretty nice custom turbo kit.

You could mount a small gas electric generator in the back of ur trunk to run the electric motors on it!!! You would only turn it on when u need boost!! You wouln't be using the electricity generated from your engine.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Dyno: There's no doubt the unit delivers the goods. The Nissan Altima baselined at a measly 115 whp. At 5 psi, the ESC pushed output to 177 whp, and at 8 psi peak power jumped to 208 whp. At some points in the power curve, the ESC generated a 100-percent gain in power. Torque also dramatically increased. So 208 at the tires pushes this sedate Altima to a new level. Remember: it's an automatic.

hmm intersting put i can work for 15 seconds thats pretty good i guess. im not diggin the fact you have to have all the extra batteries

Basic kit: $1995.00
4 batteries: ~$700.00
Oh, and don't forget that you'll need fuel management for it, just the same as a turbo. But unlike a turbo you can't just tune with the assumption that you'll make boost, so you'll need something with 2 maps. SAFC? Might work but it'd be a hassle.

It's not worth it IMO, if you only want 15 sec of power get a nitrous kit. It's cheaper and proven. For the cost (kit $2k, batt $700, and fuel mgt $500), you might as well build a custom kit or get a greddy kit.
