Default nonvtec turbo setup good or bad?

right now i have a b20 block that came with a p8r head. i was going allmotor and decided to turbo my motor.

after posting and doing a little research i found out that a b20 sleeves are not worth boosting. so i was going to sell everything i have for the b20 and go with a sleeved ls vtec turbo. the problem is i can not sell my head for ****. it is the p8r head but i have crower springs and retainers and just got a 3angle valve job.
my goal is somewhere in the high 400's if possible.

my question is should i stick with the p8r head or take a huge loss and go with a vtec head?

You could probably get a P&P on that head and some cams for near the price of the VTEC heads.

vtec heads go for about 500 bucks, crower cams for an ls are 420 plus springs 350, ita a little more but i rather go with an ls and make 400 which i am so i just wanna stay with an ls.

Yes, VTEC heads can be obtained for 500-600 dollars used.

You only pay $420 for Crower cams if you buy directly from Crower. Besides, the crower 402 and 403 cams are only $355 currently.

what kinda power gains do you see from the cams? does it depnd on how much boost? i already have the crower springs and retainers in it and the intake valves are 33mm instead of the normal 31. so i think im going to keep the head. thanks guys
