no room for filter on hatch
in my hatch, with a gsr motor turbo... w. no A/C
i got no room to throw my filter... cept run a custom tube near the shock tower and stock airbox resonator would sit... any ideas?
and considering i have a fluidyne rad & slimline fan, the overflow bottle sits... well, where ever i choose to put it for that moment

You have enough room. Trust me. You just need to find the right filter.

looks like the hydrolic clutch line thing there is in the way of putting a filter.

i got the u shaped pipe as well as the little "l" w. the drag stamped in it...
have no room ESP w/ the filter they decided to give me
and i cant just put a screen over the inlet due to the fan being right there..
i let it idle once, and the temp skyrocketed after like 5-10 mins to a line before the itty bitty H

Just do what I did. You need the cone filter of your choice, some silicone couplers, a 3" aluminum L, and a 3" aluminum U, some hose clamps, and a hack saw. The filter gets placed in the area inside the front right fender (after you remove the stock silencer)

All I did was take an old cold air intake cut it where the angle was so it angled down towards the ground and put a filter on it.

i am having a similar problem in my hatch too, my clutch hard line is getting in the way of ANYthing i try to cram in there, and i too am getting fan washout real bad. im gonna try to rig it up with something

I guess you edited this...if you are referring to my setup, no missing links...the car is Hondata tuned. The manifold you see is just sandwiched between the map sensor and intake...just a little piece I machined a few years ago. I use steel braid for the blow off and wastegate boost/vacuum because I don't want any failures there from regular vacuum hose.
