no power to injectors
I'm doing a turbo install and am getting no power to my injectors. I replaced my odb-2 ecu with a chipped one from xenocron. On the first attempt to start it, it popped over once or twice. now it just turns over and their is absolutly no power getting to my dsm450cc injectors, but everything else seems to be working. what could be wrong?

Re: no power to injectors (brad98_teg)
well... there should be voltage to the injectors at all times, the computer sends a ground pulse to turn them on...hope this gets u in the right directions

Re: no power to injectors (Bailhatch)
You should get power at the injectors even with bad thermo ground... although the ECU will refuse to function.
Check fuses, verify the resistor wiring, and OBD2 has a big plug (typically) under the IM that looks like it "deadends". If you pull the cap off the plug, you'll see it's really a big strip of metal pins that transfers power throughout the engine harness from a common feed... injectors, IACV, purge, etc. If that is uncapped, etc, it would cause that problem.

You're going to have to explain that one to me.

All the supplies radio shack gets are "rejects" in the eletrical industry, they buy the all the stuff that just dident quite make it and sell it for mad loot, im talken about resistors, transistors,,and so on...

Thanks for the replys.
i possibly wired the injectors wrong because of the very little amount of color differences in the wires. could this blow out my injectors or mess anything up in my ECU that would not allow power to the injectors anymore?

please give some proof of these reject parts. its funny how 5 years ago, everyone used the 10w 10ohm resistors from radioshack and no problems. you should back up your words.

Re: no power to injectors (bluemax189)
I am a year away from a double E degree and my professor is a biomechanical enginer. thats where i got this information from. Thats good enuff for me to stay away from there,
i mean what is a 10ohm 10watt +or -10%
not very sig, but if one where to fail its not worth taking out a $2200 bottem end for a $0.19 resistor
that my .02 i would highly recomend getting a resistor pack off an accord on 91 teggy

well i know i wired the resitors to the right wires on the main harness, (yellow with black stipe) i just dont know that i wired the other end of the resistor to the correct wire on the injector. funny thing is, the motor actually fired on a few cylinders, but on the next crank, absolutly nothing. im just afraid i blew the injectors??!! and now im not getting any power from the wires going to the injectors. jeez, the ***** realy hittin that fan now

Re: (D@nnY)
Dumb question, but is your fuel pump priming?
Pull the injectors and test them each with a 9v battery. You'll be able to hear a very light 'click' if they're working.
Also, open the ECU and see if anything looks burnt.

We took a quick look at the fuses and none of them seemed blown. the fuel pump is opperating and we couldnt smell anything burning from the ECU

Ehhh...No. This is NOT true at all.
While not all parts can be tested, batch testing is done. Any one supplier is as likely as the next to get a batch of parts that have a few bad ones in it.
