No blower whine? WTF.
First of all, I want to thank Sonny, Tad, and everyone else that helped me getting my JRSC up and running . And all it took me was a month to do the install .
Anyway, I'm kind of bummed because there is absolutely no blower whine. I did buy the charger used, but the blades were perfect and there was no shaft play. Even spinning the pulley by hand before installing it, I could hear it make a slight whistling sound. But now that it's installed, I hear nothing. I wouldn't even know the charger is under my hood except that when I floor it I can hear it growl from about 4k to redline.
Maybe it's because I'm not boosting? (bypass is zip-tied open until I get time to tune). I don't know, but this sucks. Belt isn't slipping or anything.

Good, so there's some hope yet. I'm running a short ram intake (actually it's extra short because I sawed it in half to fit ).
And also I'm in perma-limp mode because I smashed off my knock sensor during the install. When my conversion harness comes in the mail I will hook up my P28, get out of limp mode, and break out the uber.
Oh, and keebler65 is the ****. .

That site is basically what persuaded me to sell my hondata crap and go with uber.

Thats cute...
Anyway, as stated before once the ziptie is removed and you actually begin to build boost she will whine very loudly.

my jrsc when i had it had a very slight faint whine when WOT revving. When i dogged it at the track and anywhere else....everyone said they could hear it. one guy drove my car and got on it hard...i heard it whining like hell from 1.8 mile away...out if the intake and the exhaust with a shortram.

Looks like it will be a while yet until I'm running. My harness came in the mail today and when I hooked it up my P28 took a **** on my face. The d-bag on ebay sold me an auto ecu and said it was a manual.
Oh, and with the bypass open I still sound like the audio clip posted above. I just thought it was supposed to whine at idle. My roommate has some sort of centrifugal charger on his Z06 and even at idle the whine is so loud it wakes my up in the morning.

So convert it. The auto ECUs are better anyway, they have extra control circuitry I'm using an auto ECU that I converted to manual, takes like 10 mins, you only have to solder two points.
P28 auto-manual conversion
Or if you want the short version:
remove RP17 and RP18
replace RP18 with a jumper wire Ya, it's that tough. A monkey could do it

the JR blower is not going to whine at idle, unless of course something is severely wrong with it. centrifugal and roots types blowers have many differences.
