nitrous to hp question.....
Don't know if this is a noob question and comon sense but I am a allmotor guysowhat do I kno about juice but here it goes... askin for a friend.. is there any kind of table or rough estimate of how much horsepower or torque a shot adds? Like a 50 shot adds 20hp? or every 5 of notrous equals 1 hp... **keep in mind those numbers were just thrown together in no way is it what i think it is**
any input on this would help...the story is my boy want to put a 100shot on his motor... he is runng a sleeved 84mm LS/V with 9:1 and I am telling him to boost but he is hardheaded... so he wants to spray.. so i am tryna figure out what kinda number he would be making so i can show him it is not worth it.. at least I dont think it is.. I have looked though various sites at dyno graphs and have yet to see a motor with 9:1 compression on nitrous... so thanks again

Generally on a b-series with a vtec head your going to see about 1HP per shot. So he would probably get about a 80-120HP increase depending on how efficient his setup was. Its going to be different for every setup and will also depend allot on the tune and the N20 kit used.
generally a 50 is a 50 etc. or close. Im not positive but i believe the HP rated shot is to the wheels. which in my experience wasnt correct i went by a NOS rated 75 and was puttin down 46 more HP so there may be some discrepancy with my motor or in fact if that is flywheel or wheel rated. you may contact the company that is rating it to see which it is.
also goin by NOS jet sizing i was runnin 9:1 AFR too
so i just dyno tuned the jetting to get the HP i wanted at a safe AFR which is what i would suggest. dont feel that just cause they say these jets give you such and such power that the air fuel is ok
