NITROUS guru's please help
ok hooked up nitrous express kit
installed everything for a 35 shot - spliced fuel line - blagh blagh
go to spray it - nothing happens - so i take it out of the intake tube and it apears that all that come of the nozzle is fuel and maybe a TINY bit of nitrous (and please not the fuel just puddles out, it doesn't really spray like it think it should)
I've got two guesses
1) The bottle pressure is to low...(i couldn't hook up my psi guage cause i had no teflon paste)
2) Nitrous Soleniod is bad (when checking the soleniods indivually the fuel soleniod makes a loud CLICK however the nitrous soleniod only sounds with a small tick which sounds nothing like the fuel soleniod)
what is wrong with my kit??
i just spent the last week trying to put it in and it STILL DOESN"T WORK!

Are the solenoids new?? If not, the nitrous one might need to be rebuilt.
Re: no nitrous flow. Is the line blocked somehow?? Unhook the line from the 'noid and have a friend open the bottle SLOWLY !!! And make sure to protect your hand someway. Actually have your friend hold the line
You need to run the pressure between 900 and 1050 psi for maximum benefit.

if its an NOS kit and you have the small solenoids they are probably broken. I have seen them lock open and shut time and time again. if you knwo someone that has a spare hook it up and test with theirs. chances are its bad.
Check all your electrical connections and grounds first.
If those seem ok, then I'd probably pull the solenoid. Ground one wire and then touch the other to the positive battery terminal. If it doesnt click open, then you've got a bad solenoid.

Nitrous Jets have really small orifices that can be easily clogged, make sure they are clean. Make sure you are using at least 14ga wire going to and from the relay to the solenoid. You may want to go bigger on the wires to make sure you are getting the most voltage. Nitrous solenoids like a lot of voltage so make sure you have plenty of battery charge. The only other thing that would keep the nitrous from flowing well is too much pressure. The solenoids use the nitrous pressure to help keep the solenoid closed, and opens by offsetting the pressure with a small electromagnet. if you have too much pressure then the magnet will not be able to overcome the force on the backside of the valve.
Ok.. Its too early in the morning.. I hope that made sense..

yes i filled the bottle lol (duh)
ok ill check the bottle pressure tonight
but about replacing the solenoid - if its not a NX nitrous solenoid I guess thats a bad idea hu?
AND when i replace the nitrous solenoid the pressure from the nitrous should make the fuel spray also instead of just puddling out? (seeing how both lines run into one nozzle?)

you need to pull out the fitting before the nitrous solenoid and if its a NOS kit it should have a little screen make sure theres no teflon tape in it if thats what you used to seal the lines with. @ GR we only use past that seems to works for us.
