You can run regular NGK BKR7E plugs. The part number is 4644 at Advanced Auto.

Yes I agree BKR7E. I have them in my boosted SI and in my old Y8. I believe they run two steps colder than OEM, they are a must have and cheap also.

is it necessary to run a colder plug with a fairly mild setup like mine, i have 440 injectors, walbro 255 skunk 2 mani, holley tb, and all stock gsr with stock headgasket? also im on 9lbs of boost right now it stock headbolts, i can do headstuds, but i really want to leave the motor alone for now until i can build it, would i be safe running 11psi on the stock headbolts, i would really like to shoot for like 330 whp this time

bkr7e is perfect and cheap for up to 400whp, remember to gap properly.

Im not sure if its ABSOLUTLY NECESSARY, but they are like 5 buck for all 4 and i would reccommend them. Your GSR headgasket is metal so it will be fine on 9 or 11 PSI along with your headstuds. Im on 10.5 on a stock motor and in going with 14 PSI when I get my new wastegate. Its all in the tune honestly. My buddy had a stock GSR running around 11 psi and it put down 333WHP on the dyno so 330 is possible. Depends on exhaust, manifold, size of turbo ext. Keep in mind though we are only 300 FT above sea level so 330 might be a little harder for you where you are.

well the turbo is an sc61 .63 inlet and .82 outlet, so i dont feel the turbo will have any trouble getting there. I just want to make sure im not going to lift the head off the motor at 11 psi? and also what are the alpha delphi 440 injectors good to as far as horspower ratings, im concerned they are to small

Turbo is good for that power goal, at 11PSI your head wont lift. your injectors will be fine for that power goal as well. ive seen 375hp on 440cc injectors.

Why? Are those non resistor plugs? as long as they have an R for resistor than you should be fine.

non-resistor plugs work fine on almost all EMS except S300.

what ever you do, dont use platinum plugs. the platinum tip acts as a catalyst and can cause u a LOT of combustion problems.

good to know about the non resistor plugs and s300.

bkr 7e's are good for over 400 hp. i made like 430 with them at .020 gap a lil while ago and plan on 450 with them gapped around .018ish.

incidentally, i just went to advanced to get me some more 4644's and the useless counterperson said they dont have them anymore. thank god i've got a napa in town.

i just got done doing the valve adjustment on my gsr, and the plugs that came in it were BKR6E's i will be replacing these on the day of my tune, but just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these and are they a colder plug or just an oem ngk for the gsr?

The issue is more with regards to data logging on s300 and non resistor plugs. Also I was under the impression if there is a "r" then it is a resistor plug so your bkr8e are actually resistor plugs.

i run the 4644 and get them from summit over 400hp all day long no issues
