Next step towards getting turbo...?
Currently B18B1, bolt ons 'n stuff....
I have decided to go turbo, saving up the $$, but I have the upgrade bug... like now ! I know that my stock cat back will not take to well to turbo
.... Gotta have a nice free flow for turbo, so what is the best step for my exhaust...
As far as I have seen, many people recommend the 3" thermal turbo exhaust...
I personally LOVE the look of the 5Zigen Fireball, but the piping is like 2.25 and don't want to have a cat back that will choke up my *future* turbo...
Would this one be too restrictive for a pressurized powerplant (8 or 9 lbs of boost) ?
If the answer is the thermal.... would custom 3" piping (mandrel) and a generic straight thru design be good enough and would I use a resonator ? <---cheeper
I don't want to wake up the neighbors, if that will be possible...

Don't use resonator - use another muffler - resonator will restrict flow more. Also Thermal does sell their 3" systems w/ a mod to quiet it down a little if you request it. It's the same cone that they put in their "stealth" systems.

Don't mod! dont touch your car until you have to, if you keep buying little stuff now you will never save up for turbo.. IF you absolutly HAVE to buy something for your car just get a clutch, that will benifit u a little now and alot later..
