Default new setup, downpipe help

ok, so the setup is as follows on a GSR motor with skunk2 IM and 68MM tb
SC34
lovefab SST manifold
precision "600"hp fmic
tial 40mm WG
uberdata, rc550s, 255FP
tial BOV

now for the downpipe what would everyone recomend? 2.5 at the flange that flares to a 3 inch? or a 3 inch all the way from the flange back. what would the advantages/disadvantages of each be? i would think 3in from the flange, but i wasent exactly sure so i turn to you guys. TIA
p.s-yes i am running a 3in full exhaust

I would flare it right at the 5 bolt flange if you have enough space to run a 3" downpipe.

The problem with running the 3" pipe on the 5 bolt flange is that it overlaps the flange and makes it a little difficult to install the dp bolts. You are not going to really see a difference if you flare it out directly from the flange to the dp. That's what I did on a customer's set-up a few months ago and it worked and looked great.
