It's little more than that. Temperature is electronically controlled by the unit's ECU. This is for street/strip guys that have overheating issues with their high horsepower setups. It is available with our without the aluminum radiator and fan. It's a must to run this unit with a performance radiator because the stock radiator is too inefficient to realize the full benefits of this unit.

Will this work with a electric water pump? Or is that pump there an electric water pump?

It's designed to work with the stock pump. The pump you see is actually an electronic control valve.

I just gotta ask, b/c this sounds like a good setup, but what kind of radiator + fan costs 700 bucks?

It's an option they offer but it's something they're not pushing because they don't manufacture radiators or fans. It's just for convenience if you want to get it all in one shot.

Honestly it seems overpriced since its not constantly variable digitally.

I could do the same thing with a valve, temperature switch, and a relay more or less, for sub $100.

Ben shoot me some info. I've always wanted to get my temps around the 180 degree mark. I've got a fluidine radiator and FAL fan currently, but with upgrading to a top mount manifold, that new gt35e turbo you sold me and a bar plate intercooler over my old greddy tube/fin. I think it may put more strain on my coolant system, where before even wtih a 160 degree thermostat the engine ran right at 198 degrees most of the time.
