Re: New JRSC setup (moyosi)
Sounds like a pretty good setup.
A few things though, I would run a different header, I believe it is the Kamikaze header that most people love, PM newgsrdriver and ask him. Also, make sure the kit/upgrade includes colder plugs. I was also about to suggest Hondata over the "bandaids" but I doubt theres anyone there to tune it. Infact, I would probably ditch the map and vtec controllers in favor of a missing link and fmu. Its simple, more reliable, and cheaper. The FMU will also be easy to tune yourself. Also, make sure the intake will work with the blower, I know on GSR's you have to run ITR intakes. I also hate Autometer gauges, I would consider GReddy gauges, and just get boost and oil pressure. The A/F gauges suck, and EGT isn't really necessary. For the fuel psi, just get a B&M that goes on your fuel filter. Also, during your install, watch the tension on the pulley carefully. If you overtighten it, it might induce chattering.
Good luck.

Hi,
glad to see another JRSC guy out there with so many turbo goons floating about!
The setup sounds great, you've really put alot into it,
I think maybe you went a bit overboard on some things.
But better more than less I suppose.
Anyhoo, don't mess around with a lower temp thermostat,
they cause more problems than they solve.
I'd recommend ditching most of JR's fuel tuning stuff, and getting bigger injectors
then dynotuning with uberdata or hondata or something along those lines.
oh and stick with oem honda wires, none of that aftermarket bullshit.

Re: New JRSC setup (Tad)
The FMU is easy to tune, once screw, in or out. But you will just have to tune off how your plugs look. The missing link just bolts up and keeps your CEL off, no need for tuning. Also, the OEM spark plugs wires are more than adequate.

Re: New JRSC setup (tegunderpressure)
yeah i will love to have it tune with hondata and all that but here in mexico is impossible to have it tune and there is such a thing as hondata tuners hehehehe
so i will have to stay with stock inyectors, and no hondata.

Re: New JRSC setup (moyosi)
you can tune it yourself,
get a wideband o2 and a good gauge, do some street tuning.
yeah you'd have to learn how to tune it though.
so an fmu would be much easier.
by the way. The JR map controller does the same thing the missing link does, plus much much more. It taps into your ecu and lets your honda map sensor see boost,
also it helps the ecu put out better/more fuel.
