Default New Dizzy Now Timing is Off??

hey guys quick question about my timing on my boosted obd1 b18c.

i replaced the dizzy and now the timing is off. when i did the install i put the motor at TDC, rotor button was pointing at #1. now i know the dizzy only goes on one way but i wanted to line everything up just to make sure.

now the problem is when i put the timing light on it i cannot see the 3 BTDC marks (14,16,18). instead the TDC mark shows up. this is on an inductive light (no ****).

i know this isnt suppose to be correct but i took the car out for a drive anyways. its runs but feels low on power and hesitates sometimes. also EGTs seem to be a bit high. is it possible that im 180* off? firing order is correct and the timing belt was never touched. as far as i know the cam timing is/was spot on.

thanks for the help, i asked here because i feel like this section is generally more knowledgeable than say the civic or teggy forum.

If the Dizzy was 180 Deg. off the Dizzy wouldn't go on. The notch is off centered to the cam. If its not lining up with the timing marks then why don't you just move the dizzy untill it lines up.

borrow or rent an adjustable timing light to see how far off it is exactly. If the belt was never touched and dst. installed correctly you prob got a defective part.
