I thought the tunerview was slightly under a DIN size so that you can keep the radio and install it in the pocket under the radio?

Was sortof under the same assumption? I guess issues arose in the development process that made the case size increase necessary.

Still a badass unit, although I'm having a bit of difficulty doing a "low-key" install because it is a tad bigger than anticipated. But I'll deal.

No, I said it wasn't as wide as a DIN, so you can mount it behind and angle it your direction.

I have an ek and mounted it at an angle on top of where my cupholders go. I couldn't really find another spot to mount it other than on top of the dash. It would be nice to make a custom install for it to be mounted in the dash though.

Probably looks similar to how mine will:

Nighttime:

Was going to mount it in the cluster with the rest of the gauges, but I didn't like it blocking the tach & speedo... Even though the Tunerview can really replace both, I wanted it more out of sight...

For the second revision the window should be made a bit smaller; you can see the backlighting leaking out the side along with the green circuitboard.

Unfortunately when someone says "standard" they don't really mean it. In order to offer different color LCDs, we had to leave a little gap because the "standard" size boards are not really the same size. They're a little different between manufacturers.

It's a data display. http://www.hrtuning.com/pages/...w-lcd

Does the gap around the display serve any functional purpose like for ventilation?

Just asking because while this thing is apart, I was thinking of making a "gasket" out of some black fabric around the hole in the front, to try & alleviate this very minor issue.

LOL.. Thanks... Didn't think so, but had to ask... I definitely have a slight OCD going on, and I'm very easily distracted.
