Default Need some experts please!!!!!!!

Hi guys,
We have a fully built B18c5 engine with dart block and everything. We are using a drag gen 3 turbo kit with oem fuel pump and the inline pump that comes with the kit.
The problem is, when the car revs 1st and 2nd gear it revs untill the rev limit but when we kick down the 3rd and 4th gear the engine has more load on it and it revs to 7000rpm and it stops like you turn off the ignition.
We checked spark and it has until the rev limit .We checked also the fuel press and it's 130 psi at wot but no fuel comes out from the return pipe,it seems like we have pressure but fuel is not flowing,We changed already fuel fliter.
Can somebody help us coz we're stuck
Thanks

If I had a b18c5 I would pull it out and tuck it into my bed right next to me every night.

that a way to get off topic guys. what size are your injectors, is it possible that they are to small? how much boost are you boosting? what is your timing like?

kinda off topic...

You know it's really not that hard to learn how to tune your own ECU. You should look into how to use Uberdata or Crome. You would probably have to convert to OBD 1 since you can only use those two programs on OBD 1 ECU's. But an OBD swap is just changing out your ECU and getting an OBD conversion harness.

You might have t learn how to do your own soldering so you can set your ECU up for it. Of maybe some of your local electronics shops can help you get your ECU soldered. Geting supplies and some of this stuff shipped to your country might be a little bit of a problem, but you could always work something out. But seriously, you should look into doing this. It would suck for that crappy FMU setup to blow your B18C5.

If you want to research how to do ECU tuning yourself check out these links:

This is the 4th engine i 've done with this set up,mine is like that too and has no problem.
This car was already working with this set up but we had to change the pistons and we changed also the block from oem to dart block.
The injectors are stock, the timing is 14 degrees and boost is 7 psi.It was always like this and was running good. The car already ran a good time at the strip with this set up, 12.3@113mph

ONLY thing I can think of is the stock injectors are locking up. It's ok in 1st/2nd becuz it happens so fast, but in 3rd/4th the duty cycle stays over 100% longer and they just refuse to open anymore. See if you can get a hold of some 310s or even another set of stock ones to diagnose...?

dude. ditch all that crap. you are runnig a dart block and a ******* fmu? that is sickening. if you can get a dart block and a drag kit... you can get uberdata. i don't care what country you are in.

for your current problem... what plugs are you running? gap? and try what MarkC said.

but you really need to listen to what BlueShadow told you.

We've already told you what you need to do. More then likely your injectors are getting maxed out. Swap the injectors out to something bigger, get a larger fuel pump and get an Uberdata or Crome setup and get rid of that FMU crap.

It might not be the easy answer you are looking for, but if you want to keep that precious motor in one piece it's what you need to do.

So your setup WAS fine for 6 months right? but now it is giving you problems? This is the reason why people say not to run FMU's. Fuel injectors were not meant to be ran at 130 PSI of fuel pressure. When you run your stock injectors at fuel pressures that high there is no way of telling when they will fail completely. Your injectors could gradually start to go bad, or they could just quit altogether.

But you wanna know what I think you should do with your current setup?

-run lower boost
-if you have the crappy turbonetics wastegate then upgrade to a TIAL 38mm
-get an MSD BTM or some sort of timing retard device
-pray the injectors dont fail
-start saving up money for a new motor

get some serious engine management dude....listen to what we are saying, if you continue to run the motor on stock injectors and FMU you will ruin it. plain and simple...yes i know its been running fine and it ran fine on other cars too....but listen, you will run so much safer and better with good engine management, fuel pump, bigger injectors....you will make more power and you can up the boost since you have a fully built motor....please, for the love of god, stop running the fmu w/ stock injectors and invest good money into engine management and better fuel delivery. we have told you everything you need to do, if you have questions about how to do any of that, just ask us and we will be glad to help.
just dont come crying to us if you dont listen and your motor poops in your mouth one day....
