Dont wanna discourage you but on my motor we didnt retorque them. WE set them at 70#s across the board and at 2000 miles the gasket blew. Could of been the tuners fault cause they did a poor *** job tuning the car. Since then I had the gasket swapped and got it tuned again. Car made real good power and its holding so far. I would recommend on going back and retorquing them as ARP recommends. They must recommend it for a reason .

sorry to hear the HG went so quickly. but it very well could have been the tuning.

i torqued the ARP's down to 70# as well on my motor last Spring. i never went back to retorque them. i put 22K miles on the engine and ran 12 bottles of N2O through it. had no problems. i'm not saying don't go back and retorque the ARP's, i'm just relating what i experienced in the past. i'm planning on retorquing them down after break in with the new motor.

so far so good after my rebuild i've put 2700 miles on my motor and had the turbo put in after 1500 miles. so...i've been boosting about a little over 1000 miles now and i haven't taken the time yet to retorque my arp head bolts. no problem yet...although after reading this, i'll probably take the time tomorrow if it's warm and sunny and retorque them just for my sake.

I haven't retorqued them yet because I haven't hit the 1000 mile mark yet. I'm at 500 now, and the only thing I am doing now is putting on my Greddy sandwich adaptor and the remote oil cooler piece. I will have my Oil temp and pressure guages reading off the adaptor and the oil cooler off the remote adaptor.
