need help on a turbo for a b18b

Default need help on a turbo for a b18b

i bought a turbo kit. its almost a complete set but its missing the e-manage control unit. will it matter if i mount the kit with out it.

yes and no, you could prob run the car with the turbo, but without a basemap or any type of tuning..........you will most likely mess something up and/or ruin your motor and also get like 8mpg. i also have a b18b1 turbo and its on a crome basemap and its still horrible like 12-15 mpg! thankgod hondata comes wed!!!

even with hondata, youll still get bad gas mileage until you get it tuned.

You could get better gas mileage with crome if you got it tuned too.


tuning is key when it comes to forced induction. Not installing engine management will not turn out good for you.. Just be patient and wait til you get it.

I would look up scotty at digital box tuning to do your tuning. hes not far from
you and can socket your ecu and tune it. he tuned my b18b, I wouldnt hesitate to stop by and see him again.

noone usually buys a standalone system unless they plan to tune it right away........hondata is the tool for tuning....wow

Your going to flame him?? first off hondata is not a stand alone...second crome is a tool used for tuning too....so in case you dident know you can make the same power and have the same gas mileage with crome or hondata...

It will blow up if you add boost without adding fuel
