Default Need Help PLEASE!!Wastegate issues

How many pounds of boost can a Tial 38mm waset gate handle?..is it good for a 600hp car??Can it handle high boost????

PLEASE HELP

The lower the boost the bigger the wastegate needs to be. That's the general rule.

But for high horsepower cars that run 600WHP then a lot more exhaust gas is probably made and so a bigger wastegate is needed even if it's high boost. I'm sure some people with 600WHP beasts will chime in.

i thought that rule only applied when you are running a hella big turbo...?

I don't see how? I mean it's harder to bypass gases away from a smaller turbo to make lower boost then it is to bypass gases in a bigger turbo for the same same boost....right? That's why internal wastegate turbos boost creep at the higher RPMS in lower boost setups.

I'm not sure about when to get a larger WG when you are looking at 600WHP if it's even necessary to get a larger WG.

normally i see people use a bigger wastegate for that kind of power level, 38mm isn't gonna cut it

i am going for a good deal more than 600 whp and i plan on using the tial 44mm

it should handle that boost/power level nicely
and it is v-band which is very nice as well
