Default need help on internals

hi, i'm running about 5-7 psi of boost on a H22 engine (5g prelude). I've been hearing lots of people frying their engines, some cause they're running lean and others cause... just bad luck. What components should you upgrade for what i'm running, assuming A/F is good and don't have detonation? And if not? Thanks

No straight answer on this one yet. Some people think with good tuning, 5-7psi is fine. Others think that any boost with h22a4 engine is bad due to weak pistons. I think any boost with the h22a4 engine will eventually lead to failure. You just have to guess when you think that will be. If you have the money, you can't go wrong with GE sleeves, with some lower compression pistons (JE, Endyn, Ross, Wiseco) and strong rods (Eagle, Crower). Then you can either boost higher (with upgraded fuel parts of course), or just keep the boost where it is and not worry too much at all. I am assuming you have some type of engine management.

Wiseco or JE Pistons

Eagle Rods

A 12.5:1 A/F Ratio is right on!

Thanks, well i am using everything from F-Max... which includes their supposedly really good FMU. I think it's called the MF2... and it includes the MSD ignition timer, to retard timing somewhat.
I've heard of a lot of bad piston stories with H22's, especially the ringlands. That's why i'm wondering. I know that detonation will eventually lead to broken pistons. So i'm just wondering. How much are new pistons? including labor?

Can't tell you the install price as I haven't put mine on yet but I picked up Eagle rods and JE pistons with pins and rings for $790 shipped from raceeng.com. You will probably pay a little more. I picked up two sets so there was a discount of like $60 on two sets. So I'd say around $825 or so.

i read that you need to resleeve your engine if you get new pistons... is that true?
Can you just use new pistons?
