Stick with the stock cams with an aftermarket spring/retainer combo. The port on those heads is more than capable to flow enough air for 500hp, and the stock cam matches up well.

There's more important things to get first than cams. Ex: Pistons, rods, and possibly a sleeve job.

Way to assume. He asked about the head, not the bottom end. How do you know what he does or doesn't have?

if you have the cam already keep it simply and upgrade springs and retainers like one allready mentioned... roller cams and roller rockers are better by disign but not needed for what your aiming for.

Yes, roller setups are usually meant for a single lobe cam. And "turbo" cams are not always better for power than an OEM cam. But it all depends on the setup. Manifold, turbo, downpipe/exhaust, all will weigh into the greater equation. Best way to know would be to tune on both sets of cams.

The Ferrea roller rockers are not a "need" for your setup and your current goals. It is money better spent somewhere else in my eyes. It would require a custom cam, and that would be a single lobe cam that would hurt low range drivability and power.
