just picked up my DFI today, and already running into issues, the Ignition plug doesnt plug in, wrong connector, and same deal with the TPS, my dealer is going to call tommorow morning and try and get some anwsers, but if anyone is using this management system I just want to know if you had the same problems? do they make an adapter harness?? please chime in if you know!!

 

Do you have a honda specific wiring harness? Usually the dfi's and speedpro systems come with gm style plugs so you either have to make your own harness or order one pre made to honda type connectors.

I am wiring myself, I wire broadcast systems for a living, and have worked on cars for as long as I can remember (even did it full time for a little while) so I feel I am capable. I bought the system from bruces speed shop in Rockaway NJ...

 

Wiring up dfi on a honda is a little more involved then just wire and plugs you must modify the distrubuter add some relays and some solennoids etc... And if you are trying to graph the two harness together you need to know what each damm wire goes where on both of the harness. It's gets confusing...

Colins right man, i went through hell with mine, and needed assistance. I told you in the PM about the distributor and relays, as mentioned above. BTW, not to startle you, but if some wires are wired the wrong way, you can easily fry your DFI Brain, ive seen it happen, so take some early precautions.

If i remember correctly, mike (ninesecrx) posted up a wiring diagram for honda's using the DFI setup. The archives are down but if you pm him i'm sure he still has that wiring diagram.

 

I called them today, they were very helpfull, and I thought Mike was the one with the diagram, I will PM him tommorow when I have some time, unless you see this (mike) if you could E-mail it to me that would be great!!

 

Hey man, i have the wiring diagram also, whats yer email, ill send it to you, although, its for the 6.0, so i dont know how helpful its going to be, i dont know alot about the 7.0.. Colin would be the man to ask IMO. but regardless, i can send you the diagram..

Ive got a pin out sheet, I guess my only question is, for the injectors
the sheet I have says....
D15 Inj bank A-H
D16 Inj bank B-H
C15 Inj bank A-L
C16 Inj bank B-L
Now my question is,
I assume this means Bank A is cyl. 1-4, and Bank B is 2-3.
The guy I bought it from labeled Inj. 1,2,3,4. But since this isnt a seq. system I knew something was wrong, so am I right in my assumption

 

i also have a dfi 7.0 on a honda and had a plug and play harness made but i need to have my distributor modified and run a relay to change the pularitys of the vtec switch can any body plese help

havent gotten that far yet, but all you have to do is call the numbers listed above, they will tell you exactly what to do

oops, I thought someone posted the #s, I dont have it here, but if you go to the mr gasket website, follow the links to accel dfi, and search around, there is a number, its 248 something something yada yada, just look around
