Default Narrowband O2 sensor

I wired up my turbo timer to read the o2 sensor voltage so I can get a theoretical reading of if im lean or not... When I run my car, the voltage jumps around .15 v to .93 volt and all... what is the problem?? How can I know what voltage if it jumps around like crazy?

and there is also a A/F option on the turbo timer... I put it on and it shows values that look real... How do I know if a wideband o2 sensor is already on my car?

apex'i pencil-type,correct?
this chart might offer you some help as to how to read the voltage values in relation to 'theoretical' air/fuel ratios...

here's a chart for the wideband air/fuel ratio in relation to o2 voltage readings

follow your downpipe from the turbo's exhaust housing flange ... a wideband o2 sensor would be installed about 4-5 inches downstream.

a true wideband will have a 5 wire sensor.

not to flame or argue but if i remember from my aem uego install it recomended atleast 18" - 36" down stream from the turbine for heat issues.

This topic has been beaten to death. If you search you will have plenty to go on.

If you want to monitor AF, FORGET aout using the oem O2 narrowband for reasons already mentioned and you can also see from the graph why. It DOES NOT give you an indication of how lean/rich you are. All it tells you is that you are not running stoich, THATS IT..... U could be very lean or you could be very rich.....

Advice - Get a wideband.

it is normal for a narrowband to fluctuate from .1 to .9 volts.
