My time has come.....it's here!!!!
Just got my JRSC kit installed today...it's mint. I mean nothing is really dyno tuned yet, the kit was pretty much just bolted on but so far so good. Traction is my new enemy!!
So far, pumped a gsr civic with type R cams and a few other bolt on's, SVT stang(smoked him), 2 preludes and I'm hungry for a ZO6 vett...probably will get smoked but hey its' worth a shot.
Only one problem...I'm leaking coolant from somwhere, it seems to be burning off my header and creating some smoke, nothing to serious, but i mean there's enough to leave a puddle after a while. What could this be from??? Also Idel jumps from 800-1100 like it's almost breathing, up down, up down, up down???
WHY IS THIS ALL HAPPENING??

damn u had all those races in 1 day? What do you mean by smoked an SVT, sorry kind of hard to believe, since an svt is a 5 liter supercharged racing a 1.8 supercharged.
but anyhow, congratulations

I think your thinking of the SVT cobra R....that's supercharged and running 13.1's
I ran a SVT stange...they run like 13.8 or something like that....but I need some help with my coolant leak man...this is really bothering me...is it serious or just a loose hose or something?

let the car idle in your driveway. sit there and wait for the leak to start occuring. track that ****** down and fix wherever it's coming from. good luck.

i suggest taking it easy for a while once you get your car back... u r too hardcore for me and much more aggressive.
hold back the urge to burn other people and break in that clutch properly! or else you'll be back in the shop soon after.

A guy in my neighborhood at home has a 2001 Z06 (385hp)...took me for a ride in it and I was in the back of the seat and he was only shifting at around 3500-4000; barely blipping each gear. What kinda engine do you have the JRSC on? You'd need about 300hp to whoop a z06.

I think you need to take it easy. Congrats on the JRSC but.... just take it easy, no reason to go racing everything on the street with wheels now is there.

careful street racer. I've taken down c5s with little problems so far. I have never fucked with a svt stang but willing to try soon. I am not too sure that I can beat a z06 yet. I have managed a few M3's, a few wussy boxsters, plenty of Rustang's, Camaro's, and TA's. Corvettes are quick, but not all of them. I don't really race against many imports anymore. It's more of an Import/domestic thing with me. I like being the underdog especially when its 8cylinders to 4. With the amount of kills I've amassed, there have been plenty of losses. Just keep in mind, there will be someone out there to give you a reality check. I have had to do that to a few friends of mine, one of them got a JRSC on his 99 civic si. He wanted to race from 50mph. It pulled past him at 80mph and I just left him and I didnt slow down til after 150mph. Then some smartass in a 4.6gt wanted a piece but, I was in zen after that top speed run. I didn't even wanna race anymore that night.

look for a cracked coolant line.
i had a hose crack on me from rubbing a clamp.. after it got hot it would leak.. then after the rubber cooled down it would close up the hole and stop leaking...
replaced hose.. works great..

Re: My time has come.....it's here!!!! (HYPETYPE)
not trying to burst your bubble but I have been racing for a long time, and street racing has a lot more culture to it than at the track, here is an example, this kid in a turbo crx wnats to race a viper, the viper wants to race for 500 the crx says for fun only, sure the viper goes and losses to the crx (low 13 car) and thinks hes king ****, so a guy with a mid 12 second civic wants easy money and does it for a G, **** woulnt you know it viper do 11's when there is money ridng on it.! your car is still high 13's and you are traction limited the SVT is junk because it had problems from the factory, stay away from the z06 unless you need another *******, sometimes you competition is so fast they are jsut city driving while you think you are racing them. please go easy on the roads and dont race every car you see, that why we always get pulled over for nothing.

Freakin head games.. Then the guy that has the viper splits the grand with the kid that has the turbo CRX and everyone calls it a night... street racing has a strategy to it.

Re: My time has come.....it's here!!!! (rtype11)
I understand what your saying, I've been in this for about 4 years now, I understand the games that are played. I play them myself! And if your talking about the Viper it's probably Rob's, blue and white. He's a peice of junk..however his car is sexy!!
And hopefully my car wont be running high 13's because with my header and intake I was running low low 14's consistantly. But I do realize a Z06 is outa my league...however I will still run him!!
And I am aware of the dangers and heat that is caused by street racing, It's not like I drive around looking for races, in fact I dont initiate any of the races I'm in(with the excetion of the SVT) They usually come to me by someone with a civic/crx with a swap and spray!

Well, a Z06? My friend just got a Z06 and I said after I break my engine in we'll have a go at it (gsr turboed with all the goodies-coming to a street near you). Let me tell you, that Z06 is quick and he just put a short shifter in it.
