My setup is a 9.1 cr gsr motor. I havent put the turbo on it yet. my car started making a knocking noise today and i pulled the plugs can someone tell me what they think ? thanks danny

 

Slight oil consumption, good AFR. Looks like maybe #2 had gotten loose and the ticking sound was high pressure gas getting past the threads? That would at least explain the discoloration on the nut portion.

 

I put the plugs back in and its still making the same noise. I think its coming from the bottom end and its got 12000 na miles on it. im gonna have to pull the oil pan and see how things look

I would reccomend using a mechanics stethescope to listen for the source of the noise. You can get a pretty good idea using one where the noise is comming from. If you don't have one, a long screw driver or pry bar works also. Just wrap your hand over the end of the handle and stick your hear to it.

yeah that discoloration doesn't look right

 

looks like #2 in the pic got hotter than hell for some reason.
